SIGNALMASH LEADERSHIP

Fazil Parappurath

Chief Financial Officer, Signalmash

Fazil leads finance at Signalmash, bringing deep experience across finance, telecom, and technology. He is the discipline behind the pricing promise: carrier rates, pass-through fees, and a bill customers can actually read.

What Fazil works on

Fazil owns the numbers behind the pricing promise. In messaging, the gap between a quoted rate and a delivered invoice is where most providers make their margin, through bundled surcharges, rounded segments, and fees introduced after the contract is signed. His job is to make that gap zero and keep it there, which means modelling carrier and Google RBM costs closely enough that they can be passed through at cost without the company quietly losing money on them.

Pass-through, verified line by line

Carrier fees, Google RBM fees, and taxes are reconciled against what carriers actually bill, then presented at cost on their own lines. Passing a fee through honestly requires knowing its real value first, which is the part customers never see.

A bill a non-specialist can read

An invoice should let a marketing lead answer what a campaign cost without booking a call. Fazil sets how usage, surcharges, and taxes are itemised so the total on the pricing page and the total on the bill reconcile without interpretation.

The unit economics of RCS against SMS

RCS, SMS, MMS, and short code carry different per-message costs and different conversion behaviour. Modelling those against each other is what lets the company publish comparative pricing it can defend rather than a favourable slice of it.

No setup fees, and no fee drift

Setup and change fees are $0 and stay $0. The harder discipline is preventing new charges appearing under new names over time, which is the usual route back to an opaque bill.

What Fazil reviews

SimplyRCS content is written and reviewed in-house by the same people who run carrier approvals, deliverability, and support, because most of what we publish is operational knowledge rather than research. Fazil is the reviewer for telecom finance and pass-through fees. Pages that are maintained collectively are published under SimplyRCS rather than a personal byline, and a personal name appears only on work that person actually did. Our editorial standards set out how topics are chosen, how statistics are sourced and labelled, and how corrections are handled.
