How support works

Getting the fastest answer

Support hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific, excluding US holidays. If SimplyRCS itself is having a problem, every customer gets the same urgent response, whatever their plan.

How we prioritize

Urgent

Messages have stopped. Sends are failing across your account, or the platform is unavailable.

High

Something is degraded. Delays, failures on one carrier, or a problem blocking a scheduled launch.

Normal

Something isn’t working as expected, but you can still send.

Low

Questions and requests: how-to, billing and feature ideas.

What to include in your request

  1. Your account and sender: the account email, and the RCS agent, number or short code involved.
  2. Examples: message IDs, recipient numbers and timestamps with the time zone.
  3. What happened: what you expected, what you saw, and any error text or screenshots.
  4. Impact: how many messages or customers are affected, and whether a launch is waiting.

SimplyRCS Open Source

Run SimplyRCS on your own network

SimplyRCS is being released as open source under the AGPL-3.0 license, so enterprises can run the full application on their own servers and keep their customer data in house. Messages still travel through SimplyRCS, connected through our API with your own key.

Support FAQ

Do I need Premium Support to send RCS?

No. Every account can register an RCS sender and send, and we file the registrations for you. Premium is for businesses that want an expert alongside them: design help, campaign QA, strategy sessions and a Slack channel with our developers.

What is RCS Sender ID setup and review?

A one-time $250 service per RCS Sender ID on the Basic plan, and waived with Premium Support. We build your sender profile, review your brand, use case and consent practices against carrier rules, and take the sender through Google and carrier approval. Carrier vetting and activation fees are passed through at cost.

Is there a setup fee for Premium Support?

No. Premium Support is $250 a month with no setup fee, and it waives the $250 RCS Sender ID setup and review. You start with an onboarding session with your account manager, a review of your use cases and consent practices, and a plan for your RCS sender ID.

Can I cancel Premium Support?

Anytime. We don’t think you’ll want to. Use us as a business partner and it pays for itself.

Does Premium Support include messaging or carrier fees?

No. Messages are billed at our standard per-message rates, and carrier and registry fees are passed through at cost.

What does design help include?

We help you design how your brand looks in the messaging app: your verified sender profile, logo and banner, and the rich cards, carousels and buttons in your campaigns. We work from your brand guidelines and make sure every layout renders well on both Android and iPhone.

Why isn’t consultation free?

We’d love to give everyone a human for free, but that isn’t realistic. The software costs us almost nothing to give you. Experienced people do not. Premium Support pays for them.

Is SimplyRCS Open Source support different from Premium Support?

Yes. SimplyRCS Open Source covers installing and customizing the software on your network, and it’s quoted per project. Premium Support covers messaging expertise: design, QA, compliance and strategy. Self-hosted customers can add Premium Support too.
